A new study has found that trucks are no better now than 10 years ago – which would be one of the reasons why recorded greenhouse gas emissions from transport have risen at a time when most other sectors have been managing to reduce them. All of which likely will provide further ammunition for shipping lobbyists in Paris this month who trying to keep EC regulators’ hands off their business. The study, from the same group that uncovered VW’s barrel of lies, will also support calls for trucks to come under the same emissions regulations as cars and light vans.
