Apparently, it is “not profitable” to transport weapons by plane, although we are sure there are quite a few people who may disagree with that statement. It was made by the vice president of Russia’s foreign affairs council, in response to claims by Bulgaria, and its consequent closure of the country’s airspace to Russian aircraft destined for Syria. Bulgaria said it was given reason to believe that Russia was not supplying humanitarian aid to the war-torn country, but instead could be helping to arm its ally, Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.
