Now the norm in London – and other parts of the UK: cargo bikes plying the streets doing last-mile delivery. This article in The Guardian notes that bikes can carry loads of 200kg or more, can navigate traffic with ease, are emission-free, don’t pick up parking tickets and such services are springing up all over Europe. Interestingly, at the same time, Royal Mail has phased out its cargo bicycles.
