For a change, it was shippers that felt the heat at a recent pharmaceutical shippers’ forum at Air Cargo India 2014 in Mumbai. Organised by Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, while shippers complained about challenges in maintaining the integrity of the supply chain, their customers noted that they continued to cut costs. India has a fast-growing pharmaceutical market, exporting $14.7bn worth last year. Participants also called on the Indian government to improve infrastructure to help boost the export market.
