Envirotainer has appointed Aymeric Chandavoine as its new CEO, with effect from 1 May.
Mr Chandavoine joins the temperature-controlled container specialist from Maersk, where he most recently served as president for Europe. He has also held a number of senior leadership roles in global logistics, including chief operating officer at Ceva Logistics.
He will succeed Niklas Adamsson, who has led Envirotainer as interim CEO and will move into the role of president, EMEA.
Envirotainer chairman Jarl Dahlfors thanked Mr Adamsson for his leadership during the transition.
And he said: “Aymeric Chandavoine is a proven global supply chain leader with strong experience in scaling network-based businesses, driving innovation and accelerating profitable growth, and is well equipped to lead Envirotainer into its next phase.”
Mr Chandavoine said he was “honoured” by the appointment and highlighted the company’s role in enabling access to life-saving pharmaceuticals.
“Envirotainer’s mission truly matters,” he said. “The work the team does every day has a real and meaningful impact on patients around the world. I look forward to working with colleagues and partners from May to build on Envirotainer’s strong platform and shape the company’s next phase of growth together.”
Announcing he was quitting Maersk, a month ago, Mr Chandavoine said: “My focus over the coming weeks is clear: ensuring a strong and seamless handover to Guillaume Sauzedde (congratulations on the role) and leaving the business in the best possible shape to deliver a strong Q1.”
