DSV has appointed Maciej Walenda (above) as the new chief executive of its contract logistics division, replacing Albert-Derk Bruin, “who has decided to leave DSV to pursue a career outside the company”.
Mr Walenda will also join DSV’s group executive committee.
“I am delighted to welcome Maciej Walenda as our new CEO of Contract Logistics,” DSV group chief operating officer Brian Ejsing said.
“We are confident in Maciej’s ability to lead the division into the next chapter given his deep experience and proven ability to mobilise teams and drive results in difficult market conditions. I look forward to working closely with him as we continue our integration journey.
“On behalf of the executive board, I would also like to thank Albert-Derk for his hard work over the past 15 years. His contributions have been instrumental in shaping our Contract Logistics business, and we wish him all the best in his future pursuits,” Mr Ejsing added.
Mr Walenda joined DSV in 2013 and has held a number of key roles, including MD of Poland; EVP for Central and East Europe; and most recently, regional CEO for Contract Logistics in Europe.
“I am excited to step into this role at a time marked by the consolidation of facilities and the addition of thousands of new colleagues worldwide. With the integration, we are expanding our footprint, bringing together our strengths and enhancing our ability to meet our customers’ needs,” he said.
