This year just won’t calm down, with new geopolitical explosions seemingly on a constant basis.
While the conflict between Israel and Iran will certainly serve as a good excuse for carriers to refrain from returning to the Red Sea, a potential closure of the Strait of Hormuz is a threat to shipping and could trigger the involvement of Saudi Arabia, the UAE and other Gulf countries in the conflict. It’s becoming a world where nothing is unthinkable anymore.
