India’s Allcargo Logistics has bought a majority stake in German forwarder Fair Trade in what it says is another targeted move to expand its NVOCC (non-vessel-operating common carrier) reach.
Mumbai-based Allcargo also owns and operates global NVOCC operator ECU Worldwide.
It said its subsidiary, Allcargo Belgium entered a share purchase agreement with NBG Logistik Beteiligungs und Beratungsges to acquire a 75% stake in Fair Trade Schiffahrt, Handel und Logistik” for some $12m.
