US 3PL BDP International has appointed Neil Wheeldon (pictured above) to the new role of chief strategy & innovation officer.
The company said he would “oversee all aspects of BDP’s long-range service and solution strategy that will drive opportunities for growth and support the evolving needs of the organisation’s extensive customer base”.
Mr Wheeldon joined BDP two years ago as VP of solutions & innovation, based in the company’s office in The Hague.
“Neil spearheaded the further development of BDP’s innovation team and has been instrumental in the implementation of several ground-breaking proofs of concept and digital apps for BDP’s customers,” said the company.
Prior to that he spent 13 years with Maersk, mostly in its Damco logistics unit, and from 2017 to 2019, he was Maersk’s head of supply chain products Europe, as the Damco brand was dismantled.
“Neil’s unique perspectives and proven expertise are the perfect complements to his unyielding focus on the future,” said BDP CEO and president Mike Andaloro.
“Under his leadership, we will amplify BDP’s proven position of strength and leverage strategy and dynamic solutions to deliver the future of global logistics.”
