It’s that time of year when past festive predictions for the twelve months ahead come back to haunt the journalists and the analysts who made them.

Not one but two holiday seasons ago we highlighted asset-lite US trucker Landstar System as a potential M&A candidate.

Nothing has happened, but that’s not to say it shouldn’t.

(Nor, by the way, has XPO Logistics – one very palatable suitor for Landstar – been taken over by Home Depot, or Amazon!)
