Counterfeits sure do like to travel in style. According to Freightwaves, while ocean generally dominates in terms of volumes, it’s not just pharmaceuticals that favour the skies. More than 90% of counterfeit goods seized by US Customs last year travelled by air, more specifically, by express services. In fact, air express accounted for just shy of $550m of confiscated counterfeits. In total ,some $1.4bn of fake goods were seized over the 12-month period.
