French contract logistics specialist ID Logistics has promoted Michael Chalchat to the new post of mergers and acquisitions director.
The 34-year-old joined the company in 2013 as risk manager, where he played an active role in audits and the integration of acquisitions. He will now be responsible for the group’s acquisition strategy and managing acquisition projects in France and abroad.
Chief financial officer Yann Perot said: “This newly created position aims to strengthen ID Logistics’ finance department in order to allow it to achieve further controlled growth.
“This will enable us to pursue our target of attaining critical mass in all key European markets, primarily by means of acquisitions, and to continue to diversity our client portfolio” comments Éric Hémar, chairman and chief executive officer of the ID Logistics group.
Mr Chalchat began his career in 2007 at Deloitte as audit manager, where he was in charge of financial audits for listed international companies.
