The UK’s Manston Airport, which was threatened with closure last month, may survive – as an airport. A consultation period, which many had feared was simply a formality, has been extended after staff submitted rescue plans. The consultation, which was due to end on May 11, will now only come to an end when the owner makes a decision on closure.
