Charterlink

Charter Link Logistics Group (CTL), the global leader in LCL ocean cargo consolidation, has opened its first office in the UK.

The new entity, Charter Link (UK) Consolidation Limited, has officially commenced full operations, marking a significant milestone in CTL’s global expansion strategy.

“Charter Link’s entry into the UK market is a strategic step to reshape the landscape of the consolidation industry. We are bringing a pragmatic, focused, and strategically efficient LCL product designed to benefit the entire freight forwarding and logistics community in the UK,” said CTL’s Group Executive Director, Michael C. Tsui.

The UK operations will be led by John Berry, who brings decades of NVOCC expertise and deep knowledge of the UK freight market. “We’re building something special here—a modern, open-plan working environment in the heart of Essex in Chelmsford, underpinned by a strong company ethos and a positive, forward-thinking attitude,” said Berry.

This investment reinforces CTL’s commitment to providing comprehensive global LCL solutions. With 69 international locations, over 1,500 staff, and a network of more than 200 agent partners worldwide, CTL continues to strengthen its presence across Europe and beyond.

The UK office represents a pivotal addition to its global footprint, ensuring enhanced connectivity and service excellence for international freight forwarding communities.
