In this Bloomberg video interview, Maersk APAC CEO Robert van Trooijen doesn’t reveal any plans to buy Hanjin or Hyundai’s ships, but does note that the line “is open to acquisitions” and that “consolidation will benefit shippers overall”. He also talks about improved rates on the Pacific – Golden Week notwithstanding – and how Maersk is planning to grow its top line through the restructuring of its logistics divisions.
