Let’s get trucking… according to the latest figures from the American Trucking Association, things appear to be – for once – going rather well. The For-Hire Truck Tonnage Index has had its best performance since 1998, resulting in happy words from ATA’s chief economist. He said it boded well for the freight business. “Tonnage ended 2013 on a high note, which fits with many economic indicators as trucking is an excellent reflection of the tangible goods economy.”
