FAA drops proposed limits on operations in Afghanistan

The US plans to impose additional limitations on US carriers – most of which are freighter operators – operating in and over Afghanistan have been withdrawn. CH Aviation reports that the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposals, initially lodged in May, sought to restrict flights below a certain altitude, unless authorised by the US government and approved by the FAA.
