CH Robinson has acquired Colombian and Spanish forwarder The Space Cargo. According to Freightwaves, the US outfit paid some $48m for the company, which brought in $84m last year. Alongside seven offices across Spain it has one in Colombia. The report suggests the move is partly intended to bolster CH Robinson’s transatlantic operations, and comes two years after its $225m purchase of Australian forwarder APC Logistics to consolidate transpacific forwarding.
