A younger me, walking up 5th Avenue in New York over a decade ago. I was going to grab a sandwich with a very smart American guy from Brooklyn, call him Mr Bob, who at the time remarked he had struggled to get back into finance after the 2008 financial crisis because fundamentals in equity research meant pretty much nothing.
