Airbus is set to launch a freighter programme for the A350, according to Cargo Facts. The manufacturer is reportedly talking to cargo operators to gauge interest, and may put plans for a A330-900 freighter on hold. But analyst Frederic Horst said it may not be an ideal replacement for the 747 for MD-11, suggesting that a converted A330-300P2F freighter may be better suited for “express-type densities”.
