Revenues at Dubai-headquartered global terminal operator DP World were up by 16.3% in 2015 over the year before, while profits soared by a hugely impressive 30%. 2015 was another year of transition for the company, with the acquisition of Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone marking its full-scale entry into logistics activities beyond simply lifting boxes on and off vessels, and the development of the logistics park adjacent to London Gateway cementing that trend. It also saw the company acquire the emerging west coast North American gateway of Prince Rupert – its global capacity ow stands at around 88m teu, and it remains on course to hit 100m teu by 2020.
