Parcel delivery firm City Link was the big casualty over the Christmas period, notoriously handing out several thousand P45s on Christmas Eve. Nonetheless, the company’s administrators have hardly dallied since, and some of its assets – principally scanners and cages – have now been sold to DX, which was set up by former City Link managing director Petar Cvetkovic. In one way, the deal only raises more questions about how City Link got into such trouble in a time when parcel companies are booming as a result of the e-commerce retail explosion.
