Cargo owners and transport buyers want enhanced visibility and forecasts of the time goods and (returnable) assets arrive at locations in the global end-to-end multi-tiered supply chain network.
Logistics service providers also need to stay informed on progress and disruptions on the activities related to their cargo. Carriers can benefit from visibility before and after their activity.

March 31, 2022 at 11:59 amIn my opinion real-time transportation visibility (RTTV) data needs to be provided by various RTTV platforms and carrier networks (see overview on: https://www.transportimprovement.com/overview-rttv-platforms). Functionality to integrate visibility data from different sources and support decision making will be part of Supply Chain Control Tower systems (see overview on: https://www.sccontroltowers.com/systems).

April 14, 2022 at 4:08 pmA really valuable solution would be a simple real time notification when a container is transhipped/short shipped. Vessel tracking is readily available but not container/consignment tracking. Port/Shipping Line integration for this should be a relatively simple API update? and would provide real value to supply chain visibility. If this is already provided somewhere please point me in the right direction.
