UPS announced today “that it expects to hire more than 100,000 essential seasonal employees to support the anticipated annual increase in package volume that will begin in October 2021 and continue through January 2022.”
This was widely expected.
A year ago, it said it was looking “to hire over 100,000 seasonal employees to support the anticipated annual increase in package volume that will begin in October 2020 and continue through January 2021.”
And in September 2019, its plan was to add about 100,000 seasonal employees to its existing workforce.
