New ocean station positioned in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor will help to address the evolving supply chain needs of the country’s powerhouse of industrial production.
– Laem Chabang station’s connectivity to neighbor countries such as Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia will enhance CEVA Logistics’ service offering in the region.
PRESS RELEASE: Marseille, France, September 23rd, 2020 – As it further extends its ocean freight management capabilities in Asia, CEVA Logistics in Thailand has set up a new ocean branch in Laem Chabang, the country’s main deep sea port.
Multi-modal infrastructure provides growth opportunities
Laem Chabang has a range of strategic multi modal capabilities alongside its proximity to the country’s major deep sea port, transit cargo terminal and the future Thailand third airport project at U-Tapao. The scale of this infrastructure makes it an ideal location for the growth of industries such as energy and petrochemical, electronics, industrial manufacturing, Consumer & Retail, healthcare and automotive. CEVA Logistics will continue to provide a full range of ocean services via all the country’s major ports: Bangkok, Songkhla and Laem Chabang.
Says Russell Pang, CEVA Logistics’ Managing Director, Thailand & Emerging Markets: “With our new ocean station in Laem Chabang, we are able to take our ocean operations in the country to the next level. Our highly trained and proficient customer service team will be able to deliver more efficient solutions serving key industries for Thailand’s transformation into a value-based economy supported by innovation and technology. Our new strategic location in the ECC zone with the developing infrastructure projects also enables CEVA Logistics to offer fully integrated best-in-class solutions across freight and contract logistics products to our customers”.
