DB Schenker has appointed Hessel Verhage, 47, as new CEO for the Region Americas effective August 1, 2019. Verhage will report to DB Schenker CEO Jochen Thewes and will be responsible for 24 countries in North, Central, and South America. Thewes says: “We are very pleased to have found a top manager for this crucial job who will approach this challenging position with enthusiasm and commitment. Verhage will be responsible for a region which is both extensive and versatile.”
