Fewer, larger players are now inhabiting the space previously taken by numerous small business, which are now being modernised with technology – or phased out. As one consultant notes, now “it’s a different crowd”, and one eliciting increasing amounts of interest from the European forwarding sector. Watch out, CH Robinson.
