A slightly gloomy article from the New York Times, showing that it’s not just Europe that appears to be chronically weak, but developing countries are growing more slowly than had been expected. Apparently, given the world’s governments’ “collective shrug” to their economic problems, with only Japan enlisting a policy of growth, the IMF has downgraded its global growth forecast for the year.
