
The port of Tacloban is now operating after local terminal operator ICTSI helped provide equipment. It is now capable of handling commercial vessels, said Philippine Ports Authority, which promises a fast turnaround. Cargo handling and berthing charges will be waived for all vessels – as long as they are carrying relief cargo. Meanwhile, congestion at the port of Matnog has been relieved and nearby Bulan is now open.
