We’ve written quite a lot about potential container terminal overcapacity recently, but not where it concerns Scotland. Up in Edinburgh, the main east coast port owner, Forth Ports, is putting serious pressure on Alex Salmond’s Scottish government to reverse its support of the construction of a new container terminal at Rosyth, on land owned by engineering giant Babcock. Expect it to go to court if Transport Scotland continues to support the project.
