Protests in Pakistan could lead to the airfreight industry reaping benefits worth some $1bn, according to The Times of India. Military shipments coming out of Afghanistan have been held up by anti-American protests, and the government in Pakistan seems to be making ‘no effort’ to stop them. As a result, say US military officials, they may have no choice but to fly the goods out and them take them by ship from the Middle East, at an additional cost of $1bn.
