Despite acknowledging the building would be highly visible from the roads, planning officials concluded it would be an integral part of the airfield’s business operations. Meanwhile, the local authority has launched a tender process to attract contractors for the project. As well as the new logistics hub, a two-storey headquarters for the airport’s engineering team will be constructed.
