In the week that saw the Majestic Maersk dock at its home port for the first time, boss Soren Skou has admitted that when the Danish shipping line ordered its Triple E vessels, the view on growth was “somewhat different than what it turned out to be”. The big hope now, he said, is that its planned P3 alliance with CMA CGM and MSC is cleared by regulators, which could reduce annual costs by 8%.
