Kerry Logistics has opened a new Warsaw office, appointing Diana Sokół as managing director of Poland in the process.

Ms Sokół’s appointment sees her move from German logistics company C. Spaarmann Logistics, where she served as director general for Poland.

Aided by a team of six, her focus will be on developing forwarding Kerry’s multi-modal Polish freight forwarding business.

Kerry Logistics managing director of Europe Thomas Blank said the new office will provide customers with access into and out of Central and Eastern Europe.

The move follows its opening of a shared service centre in Poznan last November, as well as further acquisitions across Europe, including Multi Logistics and Spanish forwarder Bofill & Arnan.

“We are committed to offering local know-how combined with our in-depth knowledge of the Asian market,” said Mr Blank.

“We will continue to increase our European footprint in line with our customers’ development in the region, to ensure we offer them the best possible service.”
