Some good news this Christmas for the UK manufacturing sector, which is beginning to emulate the trend established in the US of not just near-shoring, but re-shoring. According to the latest survey from the Manufacturing Advisory Service, 11% of respondents had re-established manufacturing in the UK, compared to just 5% who had outsourced manufacturing abroad. The primary reason was quality.
