The Philippines has become the top south east Asian importer of US food and beverage products, according to the US Department of Agriculture. Imports rose 12.8% in 2012, and will rise another 14% this year, with dairy, red meat, poultry, snack foods and fruit and vegetables leading the product imports. The market will be worth $980m this year.
