Ethiopia is attracting both investment and foreign attention, but continues to have an agriculturally based economy and poor population. This article from The Economist looks at how its shipping and freight business, hampered by its lack of access to the sea, is looking for more innovative ways to cut expensive freight costs. A new railway is planned, as well as  dry ports which will cut storage and customs costs. A great read for anyone interested in Africa, and Ethiopian freight in particular.
