TT Club’s Peregrine Storrs-Fox has put together a piece on the worrying trend of container ship fires. Writing on Lloyd’s Loading List Mr Storrs-Fox says TT Club is “urgently” calling for greater diligence in the handling of hazardous materials. While “painstaking” forensic investigation is required in identifying the causes, a process that can take years, he says a primary fundamental focus must continue to be on cargo misdeclaration.
