FedEx is on the blockchain train, with Bloomberg reporting the company is testing the tech to track large, high-value cargo. Chief executive Fred Smith calls it “the next frontier” and believes it will “completely change” supply chains. He warned those that didn’t keep up would face “extinction”. And FedEx has become part of the Blockchain in Transport Alliance (BiTA), which has set itself the target of developing transport industry blockchain standards.
