As if the airlines currently fighting with their pilots weren’t having trouble enough, now FedEx, which pilots claim already offers some of the best pay packages, is giving out bonuses too. Reuters has reported that retirement-age pilots are being offered bonuses of $40,000 – and potentially as much as $110,000 – to keep flying into next year, as the carriers struggle to find sufficient numbers to operate their growing fleets.
