It’s been hard to tell the real consequences of sequestration, as it appears that every possible department which could be affected has taken its case to the media to argue – creating a lot of noise, but leaving it hard to tell who is suffering most. However, US Customs and Border Patrol certainly seems to be feeling the pinch – and the latest victim of this is the Miami perishables business, both sea and air, which of course relies on timely imports, but is suffering delays.
