August 22, 2013 at 3:01 pmPirates are not predatory or prevalent? I’m not sure how you figure that out. They are no longer endemic off the coast of Somalia, but piracy is flourishing off West Africa and starting again in the Malacca straits.

August 31, 2013 at 1:10 pmRose, WADR, the piracy in the Malacca Straits and GoG are nothing like the GoA/IO events and, while ships may be attacked, they are not held and the crew are rarely held. In legal terms, the GoG and Malacca events are actually robbery, not piracy.
