An interesting and sufficiently brief article on the economic impact of deflation, currently being felt in the Eurozone. Happily, this blog notes that deflation – especially this kind, caused as it is by a fall in oil prices – can lead to growth. While it veers towards the overly mathematical in one paragraph, otherwise it’s a good read, and makes the point that the biggest risk to the economy is not deflation – but bad policy.
