The EU has taken a rather belligerent attitude to China lately, sparking fears of trade wars. Telecoms companies and solar-panel makers have come under particular scrutiny, despite EU member states asking the EU to back off. While China appears to have retaliated with a probe into wine-maker subsidies, it has yet to impose tariffs. But trade relations aren’t at their finest.
