Dominican agriculture minister Luis Rodriguez has announced that egg and chicken exports to Haiti will resume once both nations agree to implement regulations to bilateral trade. These would include programmes to certify farms and packing plants for trade once they meet sanitary requirements. In an interview with Antena Latina, Rodriguez added that visits by several Venezuelan companies have prompted him to contact Caracas authorities to encourage chicken and meat exports to the country.
