MIAMI, Fla. – November 01, 2012: DHL Global Forwarding, the air and ocean freight specialist within Deutsche Post DHL, and LAN CARGO, a leading cargo airline in Latin America, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen strategic security efforts for high-value cargo. As one of DHL Global Forwarding’s preferred air carriers, LAN CARGO has worked with DHL Global Forwarding for the past 30 years, embarking on a permanent and close collaboration within different aspects of the business. The MoU represents a mutual goal to permanently standardize security cooperation efforts in order to adapt to changing market conditions and respond to customer needs across the LAN CARGO network.

    Alex,

    I guess here some hapless DHL SocialMedia intern got carried away.
    LAN Cargo and DHL global forwarding cooperating for 30 years? I think not. DHL Global Forwarding didn’t EXIST 30 years back – at that time it was just DHL Worldwide Express. Security at that time was NO TOPIC at all (how do I know? I was with them…). ALl in all, the usual hubbub from a marketing department without any real news – not quite the Loadstars usual quality.

    Interesting points, as ever. But we must just add that The Loadstar publishes ‘Company News’ exactly as it is sent to us. We make no editorial changes or comment – all the press releases we get we publish in full.
