Thankfully, for US food exporters, China has changed its stance on the Zika virus. After a case was discovered in Florida, China moved to impose rules that every vessel originating in the US going to China must have a disinfection certificate, or be fumigated on arrival – leading to questions over how that would be done. But it has now said that only vessels leaving the state of Florida must comply, bringing a sigh of relief to US exporters. American Shipper reports.
