As CMA CGM’s Marco Polo visited Hong Kong, the shipping line called for Asian ports to ‘catch up’ with Europe. Apparently some European ports, such as Le Havre and Hamburg, are 50% more productive than many key Asian ports – although this was refuted by a port consultant. But the bigger the ship, the more cranes they’d like to see.
