Cargo Facts has done its usual thorough analysis on the air cargo traffic figures for April. Asian carriers are continuing with their winning streak, with only EVA Air among reporting Asian carriers which saw a decline. It appears that the airlines continued to benefit from tight capacity triggered by the congestion in the US west coast ports, although that boost will surely be gone in the May figures. Over in Europe, things were far less rosy – AF-KLM saw a 14.9% fall – a decline mirrored only by LATAM, which suffered a decrease of 11.2%.
