Lufthansa - Kohnen

Lufthansa Cargo has appointed company veteran Alexander Kohnen as managing director for strategy and sales at its express unit, time:matters.

Taking effect in November, the appointment follows the decision of chief executive Franz-Joseph Miller to leave the operator he founded in 2002.

Having joined the German flag-carrier as a sales and marketing manager at the turn of the century, Mr Kohnen spent six years as director for sales and handling in the Nordics and Baltics and last year was appointed senior director of industry development and product management.

Lufthansa Cargo took full control of time:matters in 2016, and board member for product and sales Alexis von Hoensbroech said he was “delighted” Mr Kohnen was to come on board.

“He knows the industry inside out and has everything it takes to establish time:matters as the leading specialist for sameday and emergency logistics,” he said.
